Hi there!
My name is Grace MacIntosh.
I’m 24 years old and grew up in Columbia County. I was homeschooled until I transitioned to Hudson Valley Community College at the age of 16. There, I finished my studies and graduated in 2018.
Though I began pet sitting at age 14, I have lifelong experience being around and caring for them. Until the age of 16, most of my summers were dedicated to working with and looking after cows on a nearby dairy farm. I’ve cared for and raised goats, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, hamsters, hedgehogs, fish, tortoises, turtles, and many more 🙃.
The bond between humans and animals is exceptionally unique and invaluable. Similar to so many others, they can have a profound impact on my wellbeing. I often feel a reassuring essence while in the company of them. Their unconditional love and non-judgmental demeanor can often be remarkably calming.
After many failed attempts at finding a job that I felt passionate about, I was left feeling hopeless.I realized that a job solely focused on financial gain would never be fulfilling for me. In 2022 I had agreed to pet sit for a friend, and it was then that I discovered the genuine benefits of the whole experience for myself. It took me some time to fully commit, but I eventually made the decision to go for it and dedicate myself wholeheartedly. I am thrilled that I chose this career path. Personally, I love developing a special bond with each pet I encounter. I enjoy getting to know them and forming a connection.
My main goal is to guarantee top-notch care and comfort for you and your pet(s). I prioritize communication and fostering trusted relationships with every family I meet. In my view, transparency is crucial for success. With honesty, diligence, and commitment, being transparent comes naturally to me.
I am also certified in dog and cat CPR and first aid through the American Red Cross!
I hope to hear from you soon!
